The Central Asia Energy Co. Ltd Branch for School of Central Asia was inaugurated on 1st July of 2017 at the eastern industrial park in Kalabade city, Kyrgyzstan. The President of Northwest University, Prof. Guo Lihong, the General Manager of Central Asia energy Co. Ltd. , Mr. Yao Gaomin, the General Manager of the Chinese Central Asia energy Co. Ltd., Mr. Yu Shanglin attended inauguration ceremony for the School of Central Asia together with the company staff as well as the students representatives of NWU.

The Central Asia Energy Co. Ltd Branch was the first time for the School of Central Asia to conduct educational program abroad. It aims at cultivating talents based on the corporations demands and assisting corporation’s localization. NWU will send over teachers to Kyrgyzstan to train their management staff and workers in terms of management capacity, oil refining technology, manufacturing engineering, and basic Chinese language.

Meanwhile, Northwest University Kyrgyzstan Alumni Association was established during the ceremony as well. This is the second foreign students' Alumni Association established by NWU in the Central Asian countries after the Kazakhstan Alumni Association.

The detailed arrangement of The Thousands Talents” program phase III has been discussed between NWU and Central Asia energy Co. Ltd. after the ceremony. General Yao Gaomin stated that he will personally set up an award for the outstanding students from “The Thousands Talents” program.

In the afternoon, our university signed the framework agreement of setting up the international school in Kyrgyzstan with Kyrgyzstan National Agricultural University and Chinese Central Asia energy Co. Ltd.
